Teachers' role praised

PATNA: Krishna Kumar, OSD to the chancellor of universities in Bihar, on Thursday stressed the need for teachers to develop self-confidence. He was addressing a seminar on ‘Role of teachers in the development of higher education in Bihar’ at J D Women’s College here. Apart from college staff and students, several eminent scholars attended the meet. Kumar said teachers have a great role to play in building a new society and nation. They are the torch bearers of literacy and could bring a change in the society. Teachers, however, need motivation and a definite purpose to achieve the desired goal in life, he said.
