Patna, May 25: A Bihar minister today filed an FIR in the local police station following a threatening call. Sources close to the minister of state for Minority Welfare Manzar Alam here today said that he received a call on his personal cell phone last evening. The caller, identifying himself as Subodh Jha, threatened Alam with dire consequences if he did not rein in one of his close relatives. Using abusive language, Jha allegedlly told the JD(U) minister that if he failed to mend his relative, he would soon have to face the consequences no matter how influential a person he was. Unnerved at the audacity of the caller, the minister lodged an FIR in the state Secretariat Police station. The city police promptly began investigating the case.
