BIHARSHARIF: The officer-in-charge of Rahui police station in Bihar's Nalanda district was shot dead by an unidentified assailant in Biharsharif in the wee hours on Tuesday. The assailant fired at the police officer, Shiv Ram, who was on a motorcycle, near Bhaganbigha village, killing him on the spot, Deputy Superintendent of Police SK Satyarthi said. The attacker escaped with the officer's service revolver. Raids are continuing to apprehend the killer, he said. s ISTPTI
