Tantia Constructions bags road projects worth Rs 178cr

2007-05-31a leading construction company (listed on the BSE), has bagged new orders for infrastructure projects in the Road sector in Bihar.

Tantia Constructions Ltd has been awarded the projects worth Rs 178.29 crore by Central Public Works Department (CPWD) for work in Bihar’s Rohtas, Lakhisarai and Jamui districts. While the project value for construction and development of highways in Rohtas was pegged at Rs 113.45 crore, the order for work in Jamui and Lakshisarai was Rs 64.84 crore. The scope of work would include State Highways construction and up-gradation, which would eventually link it to the National Highway.

Tantia Constructions Limited currently has orders worth about Rs 1200 crore in hand of which the ongoing projects in Bihar are worth Rs 400 crore.

Some of the recent projects completed by Tantia Constructions Ltd include transmission lines in Assam, Sugar Mill construction for Balrampur Chini in March this year, and National Highway works in Mizoram, etc.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Siddhartha Tantia, Vice-President (Corporate Planning), Tantia Constructions Ltd said, “We are privileged to have won these projects from our existing clients, as it reflects the confidence they have in us.
