Patna DM flooded with complaints at 'Janata Durbar'

PATNA: Patna DM B Rajender and SSP Kundan Krishnan on Thursday met more than 300 persons at the "Janata Durbar" on Thursday and directed officers concerned to take action on 142 applications received by them. Most of the complaints raised by the people were related to alleged irregularities in appointments of shiksha mitras and anganvadi sevikas. Rajender made it clear that block-wise probe of documents related to the appointments of teachers would be carried out by a district-level team in April and action would be taken against the erring officials. People should lodge correct complaints and not hurl allegations only, Rajender said, adding that probe into alleged irregularities in the appointments of anganvadi seviaks and assistants had already been ordered. People also came up with complaints related to repair of school buildings, promotion of teachers, land revenue collection, encroachments, payment of scholarship, social security pension, central and state family welfare schemes, Indira Awas and financial assistance for treatment. A tenant of Gulzarbagh complained his landlord had locked his mother as he did not have good relations with him. The SSP directed a DSP-rank officer to investigate the matter. He asked the DSP to submit his report to him on Thursday. He also ordered for action against the complainant if it was found that he was prejudiced against his landlord.An elderly person complained about mental and physical torture at the hands of his son. The SSP directed the officer in-charge concerned on telephone to take necessary steps in this regard. A woman from Nandpur, Patna City, complained about forcible grabbing of her land by her relatives and lodging of false case by them against her. She was asked to take the matter with the court as it was related to family dispute.Altogether 11 shiksha mitras complained about problems related to their salary. The district superintendent of education was directed to meet shiksha mitras and solve their problems.
