PATNA, March 2: A cockahoop Mr Lalu Prasad has let it be known that a loincloth will be his Holi costume this time around so he can be coloured all over the body. And when he told reporters “Is bar langota bandhenge,” Mrs Rabri Devi, standing by him, laughed appreciatively. His days of kurta-ripping Holi revelries may be over. Quite clearly, he has bounced back from the days when an electoral defeat inflicted by the National Democratic Alliance had the Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo celebrating Holi, Deepawali and Dussehra in his Tughlaq Road residence in New Delhi. Patna put him off so much then that he held the marriage reception of his third daughter, Chanda, in a New Delhi hotel. Buoyed by a railway turn-around he has been widely praised for, the Union minister is back in Bihar’s capital city and that is reason enough for the NDA to get the jitters.
