Saturday, February 24, 2007 NEW DELHI, FEB 23: Once at the bottom of the pyramid, Bihar is now slowly trying to climb up the ladder of industrial growth. After tractor manufacturer Sonalika group announced its plan to set up an assembly unit with an investment of Rs 250 crore in Bihar, the country's largest utility vehicle maker Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) is planning to set up either a tractor unit or multi-utility vehicle (MUV) manufacturing unit in the state. “We are in a very advanced stage with M&M for setting up a manufacturing unit in the state. The company would shortly announce its plan,” a senior state government official told FE.
