DAV boy scores 94.4% in Plus 2

PATNA: Cramming the complex chemical equations and dancing to the tunes of Michael Jackson may be a tough combination for many. But for Aakash of DAV BSEB, one compliments the other perfectly.
On Friday, Aakash broke into an instant jig on learning that he had secured 94.4% in the CBSE Plus II examination. That is the highest that a city student has scored. The science stream student is keen to become an engineer while continuing to pursue dance as a passion.
Dancing is a passion, a hobby. But studies come first,"Aakash said. Son of an additional district judge, he even has a taste for Bollywood beaus. "Yes, I would like to go on a date with Diya Mirza,"he said.
Aakash also a message for his juniors. "Labour hard and believe in your self,"he says.
Ankita Sinha of Notre Dame Academy, who topped the list of successful candidates of the school by securing 93% marks, thinks likewise. Having opted commerce, Ankita wants to do her graduation from Delhi University.
A cricket buff who also has a taste for painting, Ankita has fixed her goal after doing the graduation. "I want to do a management course from XLRI, Jamshedpur,"she said.
This studious girl, however, has no time for going on a date. "Where is time for such things?"she retorted. Amar Sinha is pround of his daughter, "I am so glad she is this sensible."
Palak Agrawal, who topped the list in science stream of the same school, wants to take her parents out to dinner. A natural dancer, she even wants her parents to shake a leg with her to savor this moment of success. "Nothing better than having a gala time with parents,"she said.
The young lady does not want to follow anyone else's foot steps. "I want to achieve a position where people follow me,"she said with confidence beyond her tender age.
Rahul Dwivedi of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Bailey road, who secured 94.2% with cent per cent marks in Chemistry, chose to celebrate the success with his close friends. A proud mother Rambha said he had laboured hard and deserved the break. Rahul wants to pursue a career in engineering.
