Darbhanga, May 5 (PTI) Former Test cricketer Kirti Azad today accused the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) of neglecting the cricketers from Bihar.
"BCCI is playing with the sentiments of cricket talents in Bihar. They are virtually being ignored and neglected," Azad told reporters here.
Stating that Bihar did not lack in talented cricketers who can shine in the national and international level, Azad demanded that the BCCI should immediately grant affiliation to the cricket associations in the state.
Azad also lauded IOA's decision to suspend the Indian Hockey Federation, saying it was an important decision to revive the game in the country.
He urged the concerned authorities to take similar action against all the "defunct" federations of other games in the country to pave way for their reconstitution in the larger interest of sports in the country. PTI
