At the conclusion of the silver jubilee celebration of the Bihar State Cooperative Milk Producers Federation (COMPFED) at Sri Krishna Memorial Hall in Patna on Saturday, the Fishery and Animal Husbandry Minister Ramnarain Mandal launched seven new milk products under the highly-recognizable Sudha Dairy brand name.
Amidst applause, the officials unveiled canned gulaab-jamuns, balu-shahis, pure ghee in cardboard cartons, coffee-flavored ice-cream and herbal ice creams, among others.
With new technology in place, the new products are designed to have longer shelf lives than previous products by the Sudha Dairy; officials said adding most new products have been created with keeping the health factors in mind.
Mandal, meanwhile engaged in rhetoric like "we should try to connect all blocks and villages in Bihar through COMPFED"; "we should try to strengthen our farmers by continuing to encourage dairy farming in the state"; and "Gujarat has attained remarkable progress by developing its dairy sector and we should also learn from their successes".
