A 25-year-old woman was allegedly shot dead by criminals in the Bihar capital Saturday, police said.
According to police, Meena Kumari was shot dead by unidentified people near the busy City Chowk, hardly 50 metres from the police station. 'She was shot dead when returning from the bank of river Ganges after having a bath along with her younger sister and cousin,' police said.
The incident has created panic in the area with people protesting the killing and demanding arrest of the criminals.
In the last week four such killings have taken place in Patna and nearby areas.
