Subhash Projects & Marketing, secured orders worth Rs 3,090 million for execution of power projects. The order includes projects worth Rs 2,200 million to be executed for Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation and Hubli Electricity Supply Co. in Karnataka and Rs 890 million for Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) in Bihar, on turnkey basis.
The scope of work in Karnataka includes upgradation of existing sub-stations, construction of 220/110/66 KV sub-stations and transmission lines. The order for PGCIL in Bihar involves construction of new underground cabling, as well as revamp of existing lines under the APDRP Phase II. The above project will be completed within a span of 6-18 months.
The company, entered power business in 2001 and is one of the foremost players to participate in the rural electrification drive. On Apr. 09, 2007, the company`s power business contributes to around 50% of total order book, currently at Rs 29 billion.
Shares of the company are trading higher by Rs 9.15, or 4.98% at Rs 193. Total volume of shares traded at the BSE was 10,877. (11.37 a.m, Tuesday).
