RJD Furious Over Ranjan Yadav's Remarks

Patna: April 8, 2007
Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader Ranjan Yadav's latest criticism against the previous Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) regime in Bihar has fluttered many feathers within the former ruling party with party leaders demanding an unequivocal apology from the erstwhile friend of RJD chief and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav. In a statement issued on Sunday, RJD leaders Nihora Prasad Yadav and Deenanath Yadav asked Ranjan Yadav to issue an apology while describing him as someone who had lost his mental balance, a description quite liberally used by most RJD leaders against their political opponents.Earlier the LJP leader had said that never in the long history of Bihar the state was as plundered and destroyed as in the last 15 years under the RJD rule."Ranjan Yadav has forgotten that it was only due to the blessings of Lalu Prasad Yadav that he had remained a member of Rajya Sabha for a long time. He, by nature, is an anti-Yadav person and is acting like an unofficial agent of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar," Nihora Yadav said.LJP leaders in Patna, however, shrugged off the demand for an apology. "Apology is needed when someone is lying or distorting the fact. What Dr. Ranjan Yadav has said is a proven fact and the entire India knows it," said party activist Arvind Kumar.
