Six pilgrims killed in Bihar road mishap

MADHEPURA (Bihar): Six pilgrims, including five women, were killed in a head-on collision between a truck and an autorickshaw in Madhepura, police said on Saturday. The mishap occurred close to the gates of BN Mandal University around Friday midnight when the pilgrims were returning in the auto after performing prayers on the occasion of Mahashivratri at Singheshwarsthan Shiva temple, about seven kms from Madhepura. So great was the impact that the autorickshaw was torn asunder killing five women on the spot. Another person died on way to hospital. The driver has been rushed to Patna medical college and hospital.
